Removal And Installation: Front: Installation

NOTE:

Before proceeding, and Refer to WARNING . Refer to CAUTION .

NOTE:

Installation process is the same for both sides of the vehicle.

NOTE:

Clean the hub face to remove any dirt or corrosion where the rotor mounts.

  1. Position the brake rotor (1) on the wheel studs and against the hub and bearing.

  2. Position the brake caliper and adapter over the rotor as an assembly.
  3. Install the caliper adapter bracket to knuckle mounting fasteners (3) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  6. Pump the brake pedal several times before moving the vehicle to set the pads to the brake rotor.
  7. Check and adjust the brake fluid level in the reservoir as necessary.
  8. Road test the vehicle and make several stops to seat the brake pads to the rotor.
